Supporting you during the Inclusive Employment Australian transition
Keeping informed with IEA
As we move towards the Inclusive Employment Australia transition on 1 November 2025, we will gather the most common questions we're hearing to help you navigate the changes with confidence.
We'll continue updating our FAQs, as more details and information are shared over the coming weeks. Our goal is to support you every step of the way!
Frequently Asked Questions
The Department has confirmed in the Transition Guidelines that Placement and Vacancy data will not be provided for Participants transitioning from Exiting Providers.
To help you manage this change, we’ve introduced a solution that allows you to create Participant Placements in Job Ready, making it easier to track Employment Outcomes. Watch the video below to learn more!
Any base features that existed for DES and are being rolled into IEA will be available outside of the modules.
More information on our premium modules can be found on our website or from your Customer Success Manager.
- Any existing DES functions required for IEA will be updated with label changes.
- Features like Wage Histories and Outcome Claims will be modified to meet IEA requirements.
- The new Progress Payments feature is entirely new for IEA, built on functionality developed for WFA.
Above are just examples, where the full extent of the additional changes to support IEA will be communicated over time.
We’re on top of all the key changes, and current product roadmap is focused on delivering features aligned with IEA.
We're also running a fortnight email series to keep customers informed of our progress.
Job Ready is supporting providers in line with the DSS Transition Guidelines. A dedicated article will be published with instructions on managing Return of Records.
Return of Records with the Department follows three stages:
1. Identification of records to return (CSV listing each Job Seeker and what’s being returned)
2. Data collection and return (a compressed file per Job Seeker with all associated records and attachments)
3. Data destruction (complete deletion from Job Ready)
We’re working on a more streamlined approach for this process and understand that stage 2 is required by the end of December.
This depends on the data released in the caseload subscriptions.
Historically, participants under the current contract are exited in ESS and recommenced under the new program in WAOP.
These changes are automatically reflected in Job Ready as they occur in WAOP/ESS.
Transition caseloads have been released in WAOP Subscriptions, Job Ready is set up to sync this data. All IEA customers have been notified with guided instructions.
Outlet IDs were originally introduced for WFA to support the commit and reimburse process as a required field.
For IEA, Outlet IDs will continue to be supported in the same way via Site Settings.
If a DES job remains open, it will continue to appear as it currently does. However, jobs under the new IEA contract are treated as separate. You’ll need to replicate existing jobs from November 1 to fill them under IEA.
As the IEA subscriptions are progressively released, our team is actively working to import that data into Job Ready. Once the first subscription becomes available, the IEA tab will appear in the platform, showing the current available subscriptions. This list will build over time, as more subscriptions are released.
Sites can be loaded manually into the sites menu of the admin settings. They will also automatically load into the same area through the caseload subscriptions. As long as the Site ESS ID and Site Name match from a manually entered Site Code, no duplicates will be created and the subscriptions will update the admin settings accordingly.
No, the department has not provided a set list of Expense Types for the IEA program in the current guidelines. While other programs may have a downloadable list supplied by the department, this is not the case for IEA.
Providers should not expect a predefined list, but please note that the expense types may be available via specific Subscription data from the department. We will update with more information once we have access.
