Update on cyber incident and injunction

ReadyTech is continuing its investigation and service restoration efforts following the recent cyber incident involving our hosted student management system, VETtrak (Platform), also been previously been known as OzSoft Solutions Pty Ltd.

We are aware that a cybercriminal has published documents containing personal information, originating from the Platform.

ReadyTech is responding to this recent development and is taking appropriate steps. We have also updated the Australian National Office of Cyber Security as well as other relevant government agencies.

Given the criminal nature of this incident, ReadyTech has briefed the Australian Federal Police. We will continue to support all efforts by these agencies as their investigations continue.

As part of our response to this incident, ReadyTech has also sought an injunction from the Supreme Court of New South Wales to prohibit any access to, disclosure of, or dissemination of data involved with the cyber incident by third parties.

Copies of the sealed court orders, redacted for confidentiality and safety reasons, are available here.

The full extent of customer information that has been accessed and the total number of customers impacted remains under investigation.  We will continue to keep our customers and stakeholders updated as our wider investigation continues.

As our team continues to work around the clock on this issue, we recognise the ongoing impact of this incident and sincerely thank our customers for their continued collaboration and patience.
