Skills Tasmania partners with ReadyTech to strengthen the state’s apprenticeship and training ecosystem

ReadyTech is proud to announce a significant new partnership with Skills Tasmania, who has selected the Ready STA platform to better support apprentices, trainees and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in delivering vocational education and training in Tasmania.

Skills Tasmania joins other leading State Training Authorities – including long-standing ReadyTech partners Skills Canberra and Training Services NSW – that are leveraging Ready STA to streamline operations, strengthen compliance and improve training outcomes for learners and employers across Australia.

“Apprenticeships are at the heart of what we do at ReadyTech – they represent the bridge between learning and meaningful employment. Our work has always been about connecting every stage of that journey – from students and apprentices to employers and workforce outcomes. This collaboration with Skills Tasmania reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Australia’s skills and training future,” said Chris McMillan, ReadyTech’s Executive General Manager for Work Pathways & Justice.

State Training Authorities are critical to shaping a job-ready workforce, overseeing apprenticeship coordination, supporting employers, and ensuring high-quality training delivery. Ready STA is one of ReadyTech’s flagship platforms, purpose-built to empower these authorities to manage their regulatory responsibilities with confidence, enhance transparency and control, and support a more responsive and accountable training ecosystem.

ReadyTech has deep roots and a strong future in Tasmania, with a key part of our organisation-wide business strategy involving growing our investment, local support and team, and customer footprint in the state.

In the last 20 years, ReadyTech has fostered a community of more than 60 local customers across Tasmania. As part of this footprint, we also play an active role in supporting the skilling of Tasmania’s workforce through our both our products and our ongoing commitment to the local sector through initiatives such as our continued sponsorship of the Tasmanian Training Awards.

This partnership with Skills Tasmania reinforces ReadyTech’s deep commitment to the apprenticeship and traineeship sector – a cornerstone of Australia’s skills and workforce development system – while also highlighting the company’s growing investment in Tasmania. Through its Launceston-based Centre of Excellence, ReadyTech is building local digital capability, nurturing next-generation tech talent and creating high-value technology roles that contribute to the state’s growing innovation economy.

It also reflects ReadyTech’s broader commitment to strengthening Australia’s skills ecosystem through inclusive, skills-first pathways. As a recent signatory to the 20% Alternative Pathways Pledge, ReadyTech is championing diverse routes into digital careers – from apprenticeships and traineeships to TAFE, micro-credentials and emerging forms of learning. This shared focus on supporting skills-based progression makes the engagement with Skills Tasmania particularly meaningful.
